Co-Pro Cuppas
We hold monthly informal online meetings for everyone interested in co-production to discuss and share their experiences and ideas, and connect with others over a cuppa.
About
Our Co-Pro Cuppas are an informal chance to connect with others interested in co-production and chat about whatever you fancy over a cuppa.
These online sessions on Zoom are very informal and are a great way to meet others interested in co-production and share experiences, get ideas, and learn together. So, whether it is something that's new to you or you have been involved in co-production for a long time we'd love to see you there!
We have a Cuppa during the first week of every month.
Standard Co-Pro Cuppa Format
Co-Pro Cuppas last for 90 minutes. This is how they usually run:
- Welcome and introduction 10 minutes
- We then split people up and put them into breakout rooms with a member of the staff team to have discussion in a smaller group for about 30 minutes
- In the breakout room if you feel comfortable to, you can introduce yourself and say what brought you to the Cuppa
- Then the group usually has a discussion based on what people want to learn from each other
- Groups come back into the main room and share what they discussed. Then we decide as a group if people want to go into another breakout or if they want to continue the conversation in the main room for the remainder of the session.
From the outline above you can see that the session is often split into two 45 minute blocks. So you’re welcome to pop in for some, or all of the session.
To support accessibility, zoom live captions are generated during meetings..
Themed Co-Pro Cuppas
Every few months we will be offering themed Co-Pro Cuppas that are co-produced by members of our community on subjects chosen by you via our 2024 Community Survey and Co-Pro Cuppa surveys. The formats for these Themed Co-Pro Cuppas maybe different from that stated above.
Payment
We don’t offer payment for joining any Co-Pro Cuppas, because these focus on networking or personal development rather than contributing to co-creating the Collective (which is the equivalent of ‘work’).
Feedback
This is some feedback we have had from previous Co-Pro Cuppas:
"Thank you so much for yesterday’s Co-Pro Cuppa session. It’s the first time I’ve been and found it a really supportive and welcoming space." - Participant
“Thank you everyone, I’m in the early stages of myco-production project and this has all been really useful! 💛“ - Aya
“Co-production has been central and intrinsic to the way I have worked since 1989. When a colleague introduced me to the Collective in 2020, it felt like coming home. I attend the CoPro Cuppas regularly. It is lovely to talk with and listen to people who are steeped in the values of co-production, but also with people who are new to this way of thinking, but keen to learn. This mixture of people with varying experiences and from different backgrounds results in very rich conversations which may be stimulating, eye-opening or affirming, but are never dull.” - Pat Scrutton, Co-producer
“Thank you so much for yesterday’s Co-Pro Cuppa. It’s the first time I’ve been and found it a really supportive and welcoming space. “
Testimonials

"I happened to discover the Co-Production Collective community bringing together all sorts of people to engage in a permanent dialogue, co-produce and co-deliver tangible action. This decision had a profound impact on me as a person and an advocate for mental health issues. When I was attending the informal Cuppa sessions for the first time, I could not believe that the journey would be so rich in experiences. "

"The Co-Production training felt like a safe space among equals and meant we were able to address any pre-conceived worries or barriers to co-production in research as a two-way approach to learning. The future of research is co-produced so without a doubt, all PhD students need this training!"
