An update on our Co-Pro Cuppa events

Earlier this year, we decided to pause our Co-Pro Cuppa events for the summer period. Changes to our team meant that we have had less time to dedicate to organising and running the events, and we had also begun to notice a decrease in the number of people coming along. We know from feedback that this was in part due to the changes we have made to our event registration process, and we are actively considering different options for this.

We have now decided to extend this pause to April 2027. We will not be running any Co-Pro Cuppas during this time and will instead take the opportunity to review the community-building events we offer. Our Cuppas have run since 2020,  beginning during the COVID Lockdowns as a way for our community to stay in touch. As a team, we've decided that now is an appropriate time to take stock and consider how they might change in the future.

Making community spaces work for everyone

This is a chance to reflect on how we can offer events for our community that are sustainable for our staff team to run, meet the needs of everyone in our community, and remain accessible and welcoming to all.

We're planning the following steps to help inform our review of Cuppas and events for our community more generally:

1. Including dedicated questions related to events and Cuppas in our community survey, which happens every other year. It is next due to take place in early 2027. This is your chance to share your thoughts and reflections about what you want from us!
2. Reviewing information provided in Cuppa feedback surveys and the last Community Survey, conducted in 2024.
3. Holding focus groups with you, our community, to gather ideas and make sense of the feedback. We'll be sharing a call to participate in these focus groups in the coming months.

What next?
