Welcome to our February team update! This month, our team has been working with partners and co-producers on a variety of different projects including strengthening the foundations of our co-production work by redeveloping our safeguarding policy. We’ve also connected with co-producers and partners to advance our anti-racism in co-production work, and so much more!
What we’ve been up to
Aleem and Isaac met with co‑producers to continue our work on an ‘anti‑racism and co‑production’ training resource. While conversations about the lived experience of discrimination among racialised people can be challenging, the team found encouragement and connection through creating a poem of hope and unity together.
Nicc and Aleem attended a meeting to continue the review and update of our safeguarding statement, which we hope to share with you all soon.
Hania and Aleem met with the co-production team and our partners at the National Suicide Prevention Alliance. We reviewed the project plan and discussed the development of the principles we will adopt to help us to guide this work.
Hania and Jess delivered a session on lived experience involvement to other grant recipients of City Bridge Foundation funding for suicide prevention. The workshop was hosted by Making Impact Matter, as part of our strategic partnership with the National Suicide Prevention Alliance.
Hania and Isaac delivered two sessions on anti-racism in co-production for Skills for Care, a masterclass followed by a peer learning event.
Coming up
Hania and Stuart are delivering a training session on anti-racism in co-production, building on our ‘Understanding Anti-Racism in Co-Production Spaces’ report, for an organisation that supports people who are hidden homeless.
We will be supporting workshops as part of the COMMET project (CO-producing Mathematical Models of Epidemics Together) which is a research project that aims to better understand and predict how diseases spread during an outbreak. We will be sharing the opportunity to get involved in this project in the next few weeks, so keep an eye on our ‘Get Involved’ page for more information.

Co-Pro Cuppas
Thank you for coming to our February Co-Pro Cuppa! It was great to see so many of you there. We had great discussions on a variety of topics including how co-production budgets and the challenges faced by them not increasing, and the importance of compensating people for their time.
