In 2023, we launched our ambitions for the next five years, 'Our Direction 2023-2028', capturing our vision for the future and our approach to achieving this vision. The development of ‘Our Direction’ was a collaborative effort, involving input from our community at every stage. Through multiple workshops and conversations, we dove deep into our ambitions, values, challenges, and the ever-evolving nature of co-production across various sectors.
Read ‘Our Direction 2023-2028’ – available as a PDF, Word document, or audio version.
We are committed to continuous learning, so we believe it is important to monitor and evaluate our work – we gather evidence to see if we have met our goals, identify what is working and what went well or didn’t, and we then use this feedback to help us in future decisions to improve how we work. As 2026 marks the midpoint of ‘Our Direction’, we are conducting a review to critically assess our progress and identify areas for improvement. Through this review, we aim to:
- Revisit our core values of being transparent, kind, inclusive, embracing of change and reflective, and explore how we continue to infuse our values into our work
- Reflect on whether the ambitions from ‘Our Direction’ are still relevant
- Review the key focus areas of Co-Production Collective and determine if anything is missing.
As part of our review, we will be gathering feedback from you, our community, through a short survey and a two-hour workshop in April.
Completing our strategy review co-producer survey
We are inviting anyone who is part of our community to complete a short survey to share thoughts and reflections on our progress so far. As part of the survey, you will be asked about your involvement with Co-Production Collective. You will also be asked to reflect on our values, ambitions, and focus areas. Finally, you will be able to share some anonymised personal information to help us understand who is completing the survey. This ‘About You’ section of the form is optional, so please respond only to the questions you wish to answer.
Please complete our survey on Microsoft Forms.
The survey is anonymous and should take you about 15 minutes to complete. We are using Microsoft Forms – which has an immersive reader to allow users to change the way the text looks for easier reading or have text read aloud – to be more accessible. If you would find it easier to engage with it in a different format or would like help to complete the survey, please send us an email: coproduction@ucl.ac.uk
If co-production is not part of your paid job we can offer you £20 for completing the survey and we have budget for up to 30 people who request this. If you would like to claim payment, please email coproduction@ucl.ac.uk with the title ‘Our Direction’ Review 2026 - Survey letting us know that you would like to be paid; we will email you back with how we can do this and what we need from you.
Please complete the survey on Microsoft Forms by 09:00 (UK time) on Monday 13 April. We would be grateful if you are able to share the survey with others who might have thoughts to share with us.
Attending our strategy review co-producer workshop
We are also looking for community members to participate in a two-hour online session with members of the Co-Production Collective team on Thursday 23 April 2026 (13:00-15:00 UK time), during which you will be able to share your thoughts on what we have accomplished – and what we are yet to accomplish – 2.5 years into ‘Our Direction’.
If you would like to take part in this workshop, please keep an eye on this blog or email us on coproduction@ucl.ac.uk, we will be launching information on how to book as soon as possible.
The information you provide in the form will only be used for the purposes of arranging the workshops. The information you provide will be deleted at the end of the review in May 2026.
In line with our Payment Policy, you will be paid £30 per hour (£60 in total) for this session.
Throughout this process, your insights and feedback will play a significant role in shaping how we move forwards. We’re committed to co-creating a forward-looking, inclusive, and impactful plan for the future, and we look forward to including your perspectives and experiences into our work. Thank you!
