November Team update: Our Latest News and Key Dates for Your Diary

November 13, 2024

In this month’s update we share opportunities to get involved in two exciting projects, let you know about what we have been up to over the last month and share some dates for your co-production diary.

What we’ve been up to

We held our first co-produced LinkedIn training session, which brought together people with different levels of experience to learn how to use LinkedIn more effectively. We covered the basics like setting up a profile, making connections, posting interesting content, and championing co-production on LinkedIn. The interactive format allowed everyone to ask questions and discuss interesting topics like managing different roles as professionals and people with lived experience. As this session was so popular we are organising another one in the new on Tuesday 4 February at 14:00 (UK time). Book now on our Eventbrite page. Pease follow us on our LinkedIn page if you haven’t already!

Some of the team co-producing the Measuring Success in Co-production programme met in London to discuss how we could pull together the findings from all of the learning as part of this work. After nearly 18 months of working together online, it was fun to meet for the first time in-person. We recorded our feelings on a flipchart at the start of the day, these included excitement, curiosity and some uncertainty about upcoming tasks. This uncertainty can be a challenging yet familiar feeling in co-production as projects evolve, and something to be aware of and address at each meeting as projects progress. We are looking forward to sharing some of the findings from the programme with you at our online Celebration and Learning event on 5 December. Find out more and sign up via our Eventbrite page.

Rosie went along to the Essex Co-Production Conference. The conference showcased a variety of co-produced programmes happening across Essex and celebrated the valuable contributions of people with lived experience of using Essex based healthcare systems. It was a fantastic opportunity to meet like-minded people and organisations passionate about co-production and learn more about exciting projects happening locally.

The UCL Institute of Cardiovascular Science are looking for two people to join the executive board of the new British Heart Foundation Centre of Research Excellence. This is a regular monthly commitment to be part of the research project and the team that oversees the work of the Centre.
